Meaning my report on dangling symlinks in a pbuilder environment wasn't accurate and cannot be reproduced. It _seems_ as though things go wrong if you try to do a 'dpkg --purge kaffe kaffe-pthreads' that fails due to dependencies. If you later purge dependencies _and_ kaffe, the symlinks won't be removed and the configs in /var/lib/dpkg/alternatives/ gets set to manual rather than auto, creating havoc for later installs and confusing everything, including me. 8-/ So basically, test it, and please ignore _my_ postings about it - I'm not even sure if this really has to do with kaffe or some deeper logic in dpkg itself. -ukh -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
