Package: linux-support-2.6.18-2 Severity: minor
-- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.15 Locale: [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED] (charmap=ISO-8859-15) Versions of packages linux-support-2.6.18-2 depends on: ii python2.4 2.4.1-2sarge1 An interactive high-level object-o As I compiled a 2.6.18 kernel, I found this new packet linux-support. The packet description says only "This package provides support files for the Linux kernel build." But I couldn't find any useful information about what kind of support for the kernel build this package provides. There's also no information in the /usr/share/doc section about the purpose or the use of the packet. I know that I don't need this package and it's not essential for building my kernel, but I think, there should be a more expressive packet description, so that a user can decide if it's useful for him or not. And information about the usage would also be great. Greetings Jens -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
