Package: hostapd
Followup-For: Bug #398466

If the problem reported here is a message like this:
ioctl[IEEE80211_IOCTL_SETMLME]: Invalid argument

You can find a simple fix here:
http://lists.shmoo.com/pipermail/hostap/2006-April/013115.html

It worked for me, and it could be a workarround untill hostapd upstream is
fixed. I just apt-get source'ed hostapd, commented out that line (line
1210 in the sources of 0.5.5-3), debian/rulez binary, and dpkg -i.

Hope it helps.
