I downloaded:
krdc_3.5.5-2_i386.deb
x11vnc_0.8.2-1_i386.deb
and extracted the program binaries. I ran the x11vnc binary on one
machine and krdc on another machine and had no problem connecting to
the X session at all.
Admittedly, I ran the x11vnc on a older debian system and krdc on a
suse 10.1 system, but they worked fine. This perhaps suggests something
external or in your environment is to blame?
I would need to see the full x11vnc output to see if there is anything
else that can be learned. Output or a trace of krdc would be useful
as well.
