I'm pretty sure this is a hardware related issue. Most probably
something else is being over enthusiastic with its allocation of
video memory leaving you less for ogle. (Possibly even the video
driver itself with GLX or some such extension.) As such there's not
really much I can do to fix it myself - I can't reproduce this
problem - I intend to close this bug shortly unless new information
arises in the next week that suggests this really a bug in ogle.
I hate washing my hands of the problem, the only other thing I can
think of is that on my Sarge box I had to install the i865 patch
available from http://myy.helia.fi/~karte/dell-optiplex-g27-fedora-
linux.html . I had to install this in order to make X work in any
sensible video modes at all though, not just the higher resolution
ones, so I'm not sure this is relevant here at all.
