A local one on my home network - it hasn't caused any trouble for other
email clients.
Any default uw-imapd installation would probably be the same - as long
as it's on a different machine on a local network (to ensure there's no
cheating with simply falling back to localhost).

When the fully qualified name is entered and the program starts, two
accounts are presented - one with the unqualified name and with the
fully qualified name.

The program continued to work for a while but I require the use of
GnuPG signatures. When I tried to install the plugin, the program began
to crash every time I tried to access any IMAP folder. I was only
trying -claws* because of the other (less serious) bug report in
sylpheed and this instability just became too much to bear and was
distracting me from more important things - like actually reading and
responding to my email. So I've now purged sylpheed-claws* and I'm back
in sylpheed.

Sorry, but I just don't have time to spend on -claws* when it is just
so unstable.
