It seems apt-get and sbuild both have a problem getting the build dependencies satisfied. Your build dependency looks has this in it: libreadline4-dev | libreadline-dev, ghc6 | ghc5 And ghc6 depends on libreadline5-dev. It seems to have problems picking libreadline5-dev over libreadline4-dev. I suggest you change it from libreadline4-dev to libreadline5-dev.
