Package: pilot-link
Version: 0.12.1-5
Severity: normal

Running `pilot-xfer --list -p /dev/pilot` results in the error:
Unable to bind to port: /dev/pilot
Please use --help for more information

The old behavior (with serial connections) was for pilot-xfer to
prompt for the user to press the hotsync button. This doesn't happen
with USB devices because /dev/pilot isn't created until the hotsync
button is pressed in the Palm. Therefore, the correct behavior should
be like KPilot's behavior: to write a message saying:
Pilot device /dev/pilot does not exist. Probably it is a USB device
and will appear during a HotSync.
and to wait around until /dev/pilot appears, rather than quitting.
