I need to install hal manually otherwise I get the following message,
and local files does not work at all ("Add music" under "Albums" is
grayed out. "Add files" under "Playlist" is still available, but
nothing happens when it is used).
I think this would be enough reason to at least Recommend the "hal"
package.
"Volume/Device Management could not be initialized; HAL monitoring
ofvolumes in the library, permanent addition of items to the libraryand
other parts of BMP will not be functional.
Please check your HAL installation and/or contact your distributor."
(which btw contains a typo "libraryand")
