I'm sorry, I don't know what rode me to send this mail while it wasn't finished. Anyhow, to make this complete, I mainly have two issues with the package as it is:
1. I can't compile it. The instructions in [1] seem to assume something which I don't know, but in any case I can't create the modules with just those instructions. Maybe the general procedure is properly documented in the kernel-package docs, but I haven't looked to deeply into that. "I don't want to read instructions, I just want my G550 to work." 2. I noticed that the source calls the G550 a supported card, while the contained README only talks about G200 and G400.
