First of all, thank you for your report regarding vrms.

Now that this version has migrated to testing (which mostly served as a
huge update for the packaging structure), I think that the problem you
reported can be dealt with in a new version.

The current version also kept straight the fact of copyrights and such,
since we need stricter control these days (in comparison to what
Internet was, say, 15 years ago).

Yes, I made that change to avoid sending messages to the terminal with
an ad-hoc interface (just printing things with echo to the terminal,
that I tend to miss when doing upgrades). With debconf, it used to send
mails to the administrator, but I see that that's not the case anymore
(from the link you provided me). :-(

Thanks for the suggestion. I think that this is a quite sensible
request. The only "problem" :-) is that I will have to learn how to
preserve the user modifications (perhaps via ucf, I think). Suggestions
are welcome.
