I can add that the partition had been fsck'ed immediately before the operation, so it is probably not a bug in the file system. The file system survived the operation, but the partition was not extended as planned. The error message urge me to file the bug directly at gnu.org; for a Debian user I suppose it is acceptable to report to debian and expect the maintainer to forward the message to upstream? I did check the web page for parted, and this particular assertion was not mentioned anywhere. -- System Information: (I have deleted the System and debconf Information, as the bug did not occur on the system from which I report the bug) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
