the source package currently in etch and sid can't deal with any kernel more recent than 2.6.13, which makes it useless as is, since etch is supposed to be shipped with 2.6.18. Latest upstream release is 0.15.3 and only supports kernels up to 2.6.16, because of the ever changing API (which I personnally consider a PITA). The upcoming upstream release will support kernels up to 2.6.18, and is due to be out soon. I hope I will be allowed to upload packages for this release for etch.
