I was just doing some testing against rtorrent 0.6.4-1, and it seems that build-depending on libncursesw5-dev will be sufficient to make multibyte-encoded files display correctly.
It is also neccessary to set your encoding_list in your ~/.rtorrent.rc to the correct encoding. If you do this, file storage will operate correctly even without rebuilding, but a rebuild against libncursesw5-dev is also needed to make the onscreen output correct. So I'd like to second the request to build-depend on libncursesw5-dev, but I don't know if the patch provided earlier is neccessary in 0.6.4. What I'd _like_ to see is a patch that makes rtorrent populate its encoding_list from locale data, rather than relying on the user to set it... -- Paul "TBBle" Hampson, [EMAIL PROTECTED] Shorter .sig for a more eco-friendly paperless office.
