I was just doing some testing against rtorrent 0.6.4-1, and it seems
that build-depending on libncursesw5-dev will be sufficient to make
multibyte-encoded files display correctly.

It is also neccessary to set your encoding_list in your ~/.rtorrent.rc
to the correct encoding. If you do this, file storage will operate
correctly even without rebuilding, but a rebuild against
libncursesw5-dev is also needed to make the onscreen output correct.

So I'd like to second the request to build-depend on libncursesw5-dev,
but I don't know if the patch provided earlier is neccessary in 0.6.4.

What I'd _like_ to see is a patch that makes rtorrent populate its
encoding_list from locale data, rather than relying on the user to set
it...
