I just realized that in the previous mail to this bug I neglected to
mention how I jumped from missing icons to menu entry.  I believe that
gnucash meets the icon placement policy from Debian Menu System Section
3.7 [1], so moving the icons is not the solution to the problem.  Since
the underlying cause of the request seemed to be placing the icon into
the gnome panel, the updated menu entry should facilitate the process.
The issue raised by the second message to this bug appears to be solved
in the recent releases of GNOME (or at least I could not reproduce it).
However, it seemed that the closest solution would be correcting the
menu entry...which lead me to craft the updated file that I submitted in
the previous e-mail.

If you think that the message was too far away from the original intent
of the bug, I would be happy to file it as a different bug...
