No this in unnecessary! Don't do this. THis is done automatically if you
install texlive-fonts-extra, did you?

There seems to be 2 problems:
* the missing mathdesign fonts
        it seems that they have not been added before, but arev math
        does call for it in arevmath.sty
        Upstream svn depot already include the mathdesign fonts, but
        I guess we will not be able to include them into the current
        packages.
* the Corrupted NFSS tables.
        No idea where this comes from. I assume that the mixture of
        arev with mathdesign (not present) makes the NFSS tables
        corrupt, but this is a wild guess. If someone else here on
        the list has an idea, please step forward, Ralf?
