Sorry it's taken so long to resolve this bug, but it remains unreproducible in the general case. Two things that would probably help me pin this bug: - output of strace -ff run on your useradd command - a gdb backtrace from the same at the point of the assertion. Your continued help and patience is very much appreciated.
