Package: python-feedparser Version: 4.1-5 Severity: normal feedparser tries to import iconv_codec (provided by python-iconvcodec) and uses it to parse feeds in codecs that Python does not support natively. feedparser will continue to run if iconv_codec is not present, but will reduced functionality (some feeds will be parsed into byte-streams instead of into Unicode strings). I (as the upstream author) would like to see the python-feedparser package recommend python-iconvcodec.
