Hello,
I have recently installed Debian Sarge with English (Britain). I did not install any US English locales. My locale is set to en_GB.UTF-8.
I just loaded OpenOffice.org Writer and it is defaulting to US spelling. I wonder if you are already aware of this bug? I have to manually change the locale of each document to be English from US English. I do have the English dictionary installed as well as US English.
