That's odd - "NT1" is the default for the "protocol" parameter, so
setting "protocol = NT1" doesn't make a difference from not setting
"protocol" at all.

Usually, browsing problems are related to TCP/IP broadcasting not
working correctly, for example because no master browser can be reached.
