Therefor I need to disable tcp window scaling to access most sites. Since this was a net install I needed to do it before contacting a mirror. In text mode no problem: pressing Alt+F3 I could access a console and disable it. But in the graphical installer pressing Alt+F3 did nothing so I couldn't complete the installation in graphical mode.
