As a result, my current understanding of the state of this bug is that: the
debian/copyright file for the package does correctly list *a* set of license
terms for the software, even if they're not the license terms that we want
to be distributing the software under in order to comply with the DFSG; and
the work (or a newer version of it from the same copyright holder) is
available upstream under a DFSG-free license.

The first bug is an important bug, rather than a serious bug; the second one
qualifies for an etch-ignore tag.  So I'm adding that tag now.  Please let
me know if I've misunderstood some detail of this package's situation (or
just upload the bugfix so I don't have to worry about it ;).
