Nope, nothing weird. Could you please read /usr/share/doc/cyrus21-common/README.Debian.debug and send me an strace output of cyrus master? The file has all the instructions needed. Attach strace to master, and then send a reload to cyrus master. Then stop everything and email me the strace. That should pinpoint the problem. I cannot reproduce your problem here, 2.1.18-1, sid.
