If that happens again, please send the output of "ps axf". One thing is different to the older bug, though: Back then, it wasn't possible to stop it with Ctrl-C. Also, before you kill it again, please check whether there are any directories in /tmp that look like created by tetex's postinst, and just copy ("cp -a") the most recent one outside /tmp, so that it is preserved.
