Bug#395257: This bug was reproducible with the NEWT frontend too

I tested today's gtk miniiso with qemu and i was able to reproduce the 
bug davide reported: i selected italian, proceeded to net configuration 
and i could type the hostname with italian keymap correctly.
Then i stepped back to language selection and this time i choosed 
english (us_US), proceeded up to hostname setup and the keyboard was 
still it_IT.
I then booted the very same ISO textual with DEBIAN_FRONTEND=newt, 
repeated above procedure again, and reproduced again this bug.
So, i think this is not related to the g-i specifically: can anyone 
confirm this ?
