I just tried the build here on both an i386 and amd64 system and it had absolutely no problems building on any of those combinations. I am always happy to fix problems, but since this built when I uploaded it, it is verified to still build now on multiple releases, systems and architectures, and the error you've shown below isn't not reproducable, unless I get more info, I can only assume this is a problem with your test system.
