Package: sox Followup-For: Bug #382275 lame needs libmp3lame.so to encode MP3s, which is packaged by Christian Marillat, and available from his debian-multimedia repository. Would it not be possible to dynamically load this library if available and use it with sox? From looking at the source, this would seem to require a patch (to use dlload and friends) which I'd be happy to look into if the maintainer was interested. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.16 Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8)
