ABSOLUTELY no idea. I have NO idea whatsoever about auto*,
configure-foobar and all this stuff, and to be honest, always when I
seesomething my head starts twisting in strange directions ...
So I would leave it like this, and redo the stuff with next upstream.
But you could also discuss this with Karl, but I am sure that for all
the architectures TeX Live is compiled for, it is better to have too
many deps than too few.
