I've confirmed this problem, the package does not clean because of a patch which wasn't updated properly (50_ladspa-quiet). Now, the package still doesn't clean correctly, if you try to build / clean and compare that with a fresh dpkg-source -x, you should see the following files in addition: gst-plugins0.8-0.8.12/gconf/gstreamer-0.8.schemas gst-plugins0.8-0.8.12/gst/videofilter/gstvideoexample.c gst-plugins0.8-0.8.12/gst-libs/gst/audio/gstaudiofilterexample.c gst-plugins0.8-0.8.12/gst-plugins.spec But these are upstream bugs which are not interesting to fix.
