Package: mplayer Version: 1.0~rc1-1 Severity: normal There are several issues in the descriptions of the binary packages built from mplayer. I am reporting several of them together in this bug report.
Both mplayer and mplayer-doc's short descriptions are identical. Consider something like "documentation for MPlayer" for mplayer-doc. mplayer's short description uses the vague term "ultimate". If you can't be more specific, "a movie player" would be better. mplayer's long description has one occurence of "Mplayer" (without a capital "p"). It also refers to "OGG" (rather than Ogg). It would be best to avoid usage of "you" and exclamation marks. The note about the tar.gz would be better at the bottom of the description. It should probably read "Warning: the MPlayer source distributed by Debian does not contain all of the upstream code. README.Debian and copyright contain details about the differences." Both mplayer and mplayer-doc's long description refer to "LINUX". This should read Linux or GNU/Linux. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
