Package: testdisk
Version: 6.4.1-1+b1
Severity: normal

Hi. I analysed a vfat partition with photorec and it was unable to find not
damaged .jpg files with header "0xff 0xd8 0xff 0xe1", although this header is
supported by the program. Instead, the text information embedded into the .jpg
files was identified as being a separated .txt file.

Maybe photorec should be able to perform file scanning over a subset of
file types (for example, to search only .jpg files) to be sure that a .txt
header is not identified before the .jpg header.

In fact, the manpage says "PhotoRec searches JPEG and MOV files", which is
not exact, as it searches many other file types at the same time.
