Well, it sounds like the problem might come from the program that both K3b
and gnomebaker use (cdrecord).

I will reassign the bug to that package, perhaps the cdrecord maintainers
can help you find the problem.

If you want to try something else, maybe you should think about upgrading to
Debian testing (which will soon become the next stable release) since it
contains much more recent versions of cdrecord and K3b.
