Package: iptables Version: 1.2.11-10 Severity: normal Probably this bug is the same as #350216, but I am not sure, that's why I open a new bug.
I noticed a problem when I tried to build my firewall. Whenever I tried to use the string match in iptables I get an error message: # iptables -N test # iptables -A test -m string --string test iptables: No chain/target/match by that name In this case the chain definitely exists. And since I do not have to specify a target that could not be the problem, either. Also the command "iptables -m string --help" lists the string match options below the others, so the match is ok, too. I am confused here, iptables tells me that either the chain, target or match is invalid or does not exist. But at the same time my tests show that the chain, target and match should be ok. Any ideas what's wrong with my command? -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.8-3-686 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) Versions of packages iptables depends on: ii libc6 2.3.2.ds1-22sarge4 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
