Package: mount Version: 2.12r-11 Severity: important Tags: patch Hi,
The etch-installer seems to think that 127.0.1.1 is a IP to put in /etc/hosts for the client's hostname, which confuses current mount when using NFSv4; more than two clients mounting to the same server at the same time will cause a "client ID already in use!" message at the server and usually total I/O lockup for one of the clients. The included patch, based on one I found on the web (just backported to the one in etch), seems to change this behaviour; it will still break with NAT, but at least it should work reasonably well without. I've done basic mount and usage testing; hopefully it should be OK. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.17.11 Locale: LANG=en_DK.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_DK.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages mount depends on: ii libblkid1 1.39-1.1 block device id library ii libc6 2.3.6.ds1-6 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libuuid1 1.39-1.1 universally unique id library mount recommends no packages. -- debconf-show failed
