Package: pbuilder Version: 0.159 Severity: normal Quoting Chapter 3. Using User-mode-linux with pbuilder:
--------------------------------------------------------------- Table of Contents 1. Configuring user-mode-linux 2. Configuring rootstrap 3. Configuring pbuilder-uml 4. Considerations for running pbuilder-user-mode-linux 5. Parallel running of pbuilder-user-mode-linux 6. Using pbuilder-user-mode-linux as a wrapper script to start up a virtual machine NOTE that since October 2004, pbuilder for user-mode-linux is not distributed, since user-mode-linux itself is broken in Debian. A functional user-mode-linux will hopefully be fixed before Debian etch release, but it is not quite determined yet if will be ready for etch. It is possible to use user-mode-linux by invoking pbuilder-user-mode-linux instead of pbuilder. pbuilder-user-mode-linux doesn't require root privileges, and it uses the copy-on-write (COW) disk access method of User-mode-linux which typically makes it much faster than the traditional pbuilder. --------------------------------------------------------------- t could be my non native English, but is `pbuilder for user-mode-linux' different from pbuilder-user-mode-linux? In addition, doesn't testing have user-mode-linux and pbuilder-user-mode-linux? Doesn't that imply that they are likely to be in etch? -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
