I am sorry for not answering earlier. Basically I am fine with the NMU, but it will not add much value as the debconf questions are only used in the non-library parts of the package which are not built anymore. They have been superseded by OpenLDAP 2.3 for some time now. The only reason to keep the old libraries is that they have GnuTLS support, a feature that we are still missing from OpenLDAP 2.3. I'd suggest not to spend too much time on those old packages. I'll try to find the time to remove the unused stuff from the package this weekend. Greetings Torsten
