I don't have too much time right now to work on this. I am back packing. :)
I want the solution to be in user space and not need admin rights (/etc).
As it is something that the official release is working on adding, it probably is not a high priority to get a perfect fix into Debian. But a little documentation, a pointer, perhaps an example of one simple option, would be helpful.
