I agree. I also think that the problematic parts cause problems like that in http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=392342 (FUD message printed to stdout and so confusing frontend program, which means functional regression) so we should remove them, and we should be able and allowed to legaly remove them.
