Package: console-setup-mini Version: 1.8 Severity: normal -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1
Seeing how the goal of this mini-version is to be UTF-8 only, debconf questions related to the character map (UTF-8 or one of several legacy encodings) is unnecessary. It should be skipped entirely. It is UTF-8. Additionally, the question about codeset should be clarified. The way it is currently phrased, one might think that selecting anything else than Uni1, Uni2 or Uni3 will result in a legacy enconding being used. Isn't the actual intent is to decide which subset of the Unicode range should be available for display, to compensate for the framebuffer's limit on the number of glyphs it can simultaneously utilize? - -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 Architecture: powerpc (ppc) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Kernel: Linux 2.6.18-imac Locale: LANG=fi_FI.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=fi_FI.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages console-setup-mini depends on: ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.5 Debian configuration management sy Versions of packages console-setup-mini recommends: ii kbd 1.12-17 Linux console font and keytable ut - -- debconf information: * console-setup/variant: Finland * console-setup/fontsize-text: 16 * console-setup/compose: No compose key console-setup/modelcode: pc105 console-setup/switch: No temporary switch console-setup/fontsize: 16 * console-setup/charmap: UTF-8 console-setup/layoutcode: fi console-setup/optionscode: lv3:ralt_switch * console-setup/layout: Finland console-setup/variantcode: console-setup/dont_ask_layout: * console-setup/altgr: Right Alt * console-setup/ttys: /dev/tty[1-8] * console-setup/model: Generic 105-key (Intl) PC console-setup/fontsize-fb: 16 * console-setup/codeset: Uni1 console-setup/toggle: No toggling * console-setup/fontface: VGA -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.5 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFFNbAGeXr56x4Muc0RAqlcAJ4n1zY1RyiRykOgbRNaf00L0CWqLQCeNUmR fYbXIScZRc+Kz19vvIhLOC0= =JJX1 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
