Package: pilot-link Version: 0.12.1-5 Severity: important File: /usr/bin/pilot-addresses
I connect my Palm m505 with its Palm 4.0 operating system, just like I have done for years. Today I say pilot-addresses instead of addresses, as the name has changed, and.... $ pilot-addresses -w addresses Listening for incoming connection on /dev/pilot... connected! PalmOS 5.x (Garnet) and later devices are not currently supported by this tool. The data format of the AddressBook has changed. The legacy format is called "Classic" and PalmOS 5.x and later uses "Extended" databases with a different structure. Your Palm has "Contacts", and this tool reads the "AddressBook" database. Due to this chnage, pilot-addresses and other tools must be rewritten to compensate. Sorry about the inconvenience. Help, your program is too smart. How can I force it to skip this check that causes a perfectly good program now not to work!?! pilot-addresses --work-just-like-before? P.S., Above, "chnage" is spelled wrong. The pilot-addresses man page says SEE ALSO addresses(1). On the pilot-link man page, space disappears before "$": variable$PILOTPORT -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
