Yes.

  [EMAIL PROTECTED]:509]$ sudo aptitude remove resolvconf
  ...
  [EMAIL PROTECTED]:512]$ sudo /etc/init.d/resolvconf start
  Setting up resolvconf...run-parts: /etc/resolvconf/update.d/libc
  exited with return code 1
  failed.

No other package is holding /etc/init.d/resolvconf:

  [EMAIL PROTECTED]:513]$ dpkg --search /etc/init.d/resolvconf
  resolvconf: /etc/init.d/resolvconf

It appears the problem is that removing resolvconf doesn't remove
/etc/init.d/resolvconf.
