Package: apt-mirror Version: 0.4.4-4 Severity: wishlist
It would be handy if apt-mirror could be called with a command-line option, e.g. --check-download, which only downloads the index files and reports the size of the mirroring. This way it would be possible to setup an automated system which only starts mirroring if a certain treshold is passed. If you wonder why this is nice, I have a local mirror which is updated daily, but in the past I could get by with about 200 Mb a day. Since the release was announced, downloads are bigger and have not enough bandwidth anymore. This could help alleviate my problem. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.17.11-epsilon Locale: [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED] (charmap=ISO-8859-15) Versions of packages apt-mirror depends on: ii adduser 3.97 Add and remove users and groups ii perl 5.8.8-6.1 Larry Wall's Practical Extraction ii perl-modules 5.8.8-6.1 Core Perl modules ii wget 1.10.2-2 retrieves files from the web apt-mirror recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
