Package: libpcre3
Version: 6.7-1
Severity: normal

A php script that works fine with the previous version breaks with:

Warning: preg_match() [function.preg-match]: Compilation failed: repeated
subpattern is too long

The subpattern in question is long:

/^((([a-zA-Z0-9\-_.]){1,251}@(localhost|(([\-0-9a-zA-Z]){1,63}\.){1,6}([\-0-9a-zA-Z]){1,63})|([EMAIL
 PROTECTED]){1,255})(,|, |)){1,}$/

If this is expected changed behavior - adding a comments in NEWS.gz with the
maximum subpattern size allowed would be great.

thanks.
