Package: aegis Version: 4.22-2 Severity: wishlist Hi,
The aegis package FTBFS when the build is run as root. Some tests fail, claiming the "user root too privileged". Example: CXX="g++" /bin/sh etc/test.sh -shell /bin/sh -run \ test/02/t0231a-walt.sh test/02/t0231a-walt.ES aegis: Warning: The setlocale() function failed. This results in you seeing the short form of the error messages. You may need to check the settings of your LC_ALL and LANG environment variables. Use the "locale -a" command to obtain a list of valid locales. If the list is very short, you may have a glibc install problem. aegis: user root too privileged NO RESULT when testing the 'aedist -rec' functionality (new project 132) Even if nothing in policy forbids aegis from such behaviour, it would be a good idea to allow building as root, since this makes it slightly harder to test the aegis package during automated test builds, for example.
