Please consider upgrading the severity level of this bug to serious or grave. As a consequence of the bug KDE's konqueror doesn't show any local hard disks or usb-storage devices. Although disks and storgage can still be mounted or accessed via the command line, this renders the system unusuable for inexperienced users (they don't have access to their home directory or any other files via their file manager). I wouldn't like to see etch released with this bug unfixed.
