Package: libenchant1c2a Version: 1.3.0-1 Severity: wishlist
Without the file enchant.ordering the choice of which backend will be used is rather arbitrary. It would be very useful if the library package shipped such file with some sensible defaults. I would propose the following: *:myspell, aspell, ispell fi:voikko, ispell, myspell, aspell fi_FI:voikko,ispell,myspell,aspell he:hspell, myspell he_IL:hspell,myspell yi:uspell The lines fi... and fi_FI... are there to ensure that if the user has installed libenchant-voikko (which is the new Finnish spellchecker plugin for Enchant currently build from the source package tmispell-voikko but also submitted to Enchant upstream) it will be used instead of the "traditional" backends. The rest of the lines are from Enchant upstream CVS. (Disclaimer: I am one of the upstream authors of Voikko, but it is widely acknowledged fact that ispell, myspell and aspell are not really usable for Finnish. So preferring Voikko over them should be a good default.) -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.16.27 Locale: LANG=fi_FI.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=fi_FI.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages libenchant1c2a depends on: ii libaspell15 0.60.4-4 GNU Aspell spell-checker runtime l ii libc6 2.3.6.ds1-6 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libgcc1 1:4.1.1-16 GCC support library ii libglib2.0-0 2.12.4-1 The GLib library of C routines ii libstdc++6 4.1.1-16 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 ii zlib1g 1:1.2.3-13 compression library - runtime libenchant1c2a recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
