Package: iptables Version: 1.3.3-2 Severity: important As of 2.6.18 linux kernel there is no longer support for nth, random and fuzzy in netfilter, they have been replaced by statistic...
Iptables 1.3.5 supports nth, random, and fuzzy, but in iptables 1.3.6 support for these was removed as it was in the 2.6.18 linux kernel, instead support for statistic match has been added, changes have also been made to quota match in 2.6.18 and 1.3.6 has been updated to work with these changes... On top of this there is also several new features in the 2.6.18 kernel which require iptables 1.3.6 some of these are very useful. I would really like to see 1.3.6 iptables in etch so that myself and other people using these features arent required to mix releases and use a 1.3.6 iptables pacakge from a different release when etch becomes stable -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers testing APT policy: (650, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Kernel: Linux 2.6.16-2-686 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) Versions of packages iptables depends on: ii libc6 2.3.6-15 GNU C Library: Shared libraries iptables recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
