there are still problems even with the packages in incoming.
/usr/lib/libGL.so points to /usr/lib/nvidia/libGL.so.1.2.xlibmesa
which doesn't exist (there is an /usr/lib/nvidia/libGL.so.xlibmesa
though).

if i try to purge only the nvidia-glx-dev package i get:

Removing nvidia-glx-dev ...
dpkg-divert: mismatch on package
when removing `diversion of /usr/lib/libGL.so to
/usr/lib/nvidia/libGL.so.xlibmesa by nvidia-glx-dev'
  found `diversion of /usr/lib/libGL.so to /usr/lib/nvidia/libGL.so.xlibmesa by
nvidia-glx'
dpkg: error processing nvidia-glx-dev (--purge):
subprocess post-removal script returned error exit status 2

purging both nvidia-glx and nvidia-glx-dev works but /usr/lib/libGL.so
still points to the wrong file:

Setting up nvidia-glx-dev (1.0.8774-5) ...
ln: creating symbolic link `/usr/lib/libGL.so' to
`/usr/lib/nvidia/libGL.so.1.2.xlibmesa': File exists
