Package: hal Version: 0.5.8.1-1 Followup-For: Bug #366370
Just installed fresh Unstable last week, hald never ran correctly. The boot messages say "Starting hal daemon...failed". As with the prior ticket, trying to start the daemon by hand also fails, even though hal reports that it is going to run as a daemon there is no process.
