Well, I'll try my best, but to be sure to get usable info, you may want
to write a reportbug hook - that would save time for such cases.

(that said, I admit I was aware of the small amount of meaningful info,
but I was tired and did not want to dig into yet another problem - you
may have seen at once what the problem was, after all - sorry).

It happens that after "aptitude update" and "aptitude install
apt-listbugs", I do not get the problem any more.

(BTW, I also feel a bit strange when you say that but is related to an
"old version", dated only 4 days back :)

Noone tells me which of the tens of debs there cause the problem.
Trying ".../*.deb" instead does not show much more than what others
reported, namely the following at the start:

http://bugs.debian.org:80/, user-auth=:
indexdir = /indices/
Exception `LoadError' at /usr/lib/ruby/1.8/xml/encoding-ja.rb:12 - no such file
to load -- uconv
Exception `LoadError' at /usr/lib/ruby/1.8/http-access2.rb:31 - no such file to
load -- openssl

Not sure those are related to the problem - aspecially hard to say now
:)
